More Sweet Pea stamps!

Here is another card made with Sweet Pea stamps.  I colored this image about a couple of weeks ago and finally made a card with it the other day.  The stamp is from the ching-chou kuiks collection.  There are so many fabulous stamps in this collection.

I colored the image using copic markers (YG 11,YG13, YG17, BV00, BV04, BV08, V04, V06, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y21, Y26, B00, E000, E00, E01, BG10) and prisma markers cool grey 20% & 50%.  The greeting is from Kaiser Craft birthday stamp set.  I used fiskars edge punch and put a piece of ribbon under it for color.  I colored the rhinestones with YG13 so they would match the image.
Well I guess I better get back to work.  Thanks for visiting my blog, have a great day.

Spring Cleaning

So I thought I would start my spring cleaning today with my blog.  I wanted a new design and look,  I spent 3 hours on it.  I really didn't think it would take that long, but here it is.  I still have a little more to do but I really want to get in my craft room for a bit today.

I didn't get a chance to finish the mini album I was working on the other day.  I have a really good reason for not working on it though.  Someone decided it made a perfect bed!!!  I didn't have the heart to move her LOL!
Maybe that is what I will finish first before I start something new.  I really want to use some of the new stamps I've bought recently though.  I guess I'll just have to try and do both.

Here a few pictures I have taken the last few days.  Spring is certainly here!

Oh! I also have to go prep for a class I'm teaching tomorrow.  I guess I will be very busy!!! Thanks for stopping by & happy crafting.

Happy Spring!!!

I am so happy Spring is here, the days are getting longer and the weather is warming up nicely.  You can actually go for a walk in the evenings because it is not dark out at 5:00pm anymore.  The down side is Kit sheds like mad this time of year LOL.

For this card I used a digi stamp called "Spring Fairy" I bought from The Greeting Farm.  I used Copics (E21, E25, E29, E000, E00, E01, R20, B00, B01, B02 & W1) to color the image and then highlighted the wings with a sakura stardust pen. The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Marrakesh line.  I used some flowers and prima pearls as accents.  The greeting stamp is from the Flourishes "Tag Lines" stamp set. I used versa magic pumpkin spice and jumbo java inks for edging.
I just finished working on a flip album and will post that tomorrow.  I still need to add a few embellishments to it and take some pictures.  Until next time, happy crafting everyone!

New Digi Stamps

I finally got a chance to use one of my new Kenny K digi stamps I bought a few weeks ago.  I am quite happy with the way it turned out.  I've bought quite a few digi stamps recently, from a few different places.  It's nice because you can shop around the world and have your image immediately.  Here is the card I made with Racy Roxie from Kenny K.

For this card I used black and crimson bazzill card stock.  The crimson is embossed with the Tim Holtz checkerboard embossing folder and inked up with versa magic black chalk ink. I printed the image on white copic paper and colored her in with copics (R24, R27, R29, E21, E25, E29, E000, E00, E01, BG13, N1, N3, N5 & 0), black prisma marker & Rhubarb memento marker.  I used spellbinders petite ovals large & small.  She was a little to big so I had to use the Out of the Box  (follow link for a tutorial) technique to cut her out.  The greeting block is cut with spellbinders large & small labels and the greeting is from flourishes "tag lines" stamp set.  I inked around edges with Tim Holtz aged mahogany.  It needed a little more embellishment so I added some black rhinestones to finish it off.
I have another card to post and I will probably add it tonight, but right now I want to go make some more cards.  I will post again later tonight or tomorrow.  Happy Spring everyone.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.  I found this Irish blessing that I think is beautiful

An Old Irish Blessing

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

I have been so busy this week that I haven't had time to do any crafting.  I realized last night that I had not made any cards for St. Patrick's day.  I decided even though I don't send them to anyone that I should make at least one.  This one is a very quick and simple card.  The stamps are from a small Studio G stamp set I got last March.  The shamrock originally had a circle frame around it that says Kiss Me I'm Irish.  I wanted just the shamrock so I cut it apart.  I left the circle frame intact so I could use them together again if I wanted to.  I used memento bamboo leaves ink to stamp out the design on white card stock.  The hat is cut out on the circut using Child's Year cartridge and is popped up using 3d dots. I colored the rhinestones with copic marker G99 Olive and the green card stock is bazzill rain forest.
I have another card started that I'm hoping to get finished today.  I'm off to my studio now to work on some cards.  I think at the rate I'm getting things done I should get started on my Easter cards.  At least I already have some designed for classes that I can make more of.  I usually try to design something different for my family though.

Well I guess that is all for today, thanks for stopping by.

More Easter Cards

I did manage to get another Easter card made yesterday.  The words are cut out on the cricut using the Easter 2010 cartridge.

Here is the Easter card I showed the sneak peek of on Feb. 25th.  It isn't done with traditional Easter colors but I like it.  I colored the buttons with copic markers so they would match the paper.
I'm on a roll now so I'm going to head back to my studio and get some more cards made.  Thanks for stopping by.

Easter Cards

I finally got a couple more Easter cards finished this week.  I have been struggling with these and I still need to design some more as well.  I don't have many Easter stamps so this has been a challenge for me.  For the side step card I cut out eggs on the cricut and used Studio G egg stamps to stamp them different designs & colors.

It is hard to tell in the picture but the bunny on this card is covered with brown fun flock.  I cut him out using the Easter cricut cartridge.

I guess I better get back to work on more cards.  Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting

And Even More Sneak Peeks!!

I'm teaching five different card classes in March and still have a few more samples to make.  Here are the last 2 for the Spring has Sprung card class.  You can see all the sneak peaks together on my class schedule page.
They are both done using Flourishes stamps which I bought at Scrap Arts.   The images are colored in with watercolor pencils.

Well I think I'll go work on the Easter cards now.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
